::Half of Chennai's population seems to be in this Station :p More seats are to be provided for the passengers. Food stalls and Books shops are plenty and good. AC waiting hall is located on the first floor and it is a bit difficult to carry all the luggage over stairs. Changed my rating to 5 stars. Prices of food items, cool drinks and water bottled are MRP. Thanks to the authorities. Even they are giving change for a 8rs water bottle which one may not find at many other stations.

::My Experience at Chennai central railway station, I was traveling here daily. This will be almost clean and secure place. It connects with local railway station. My biggest problem I facing regularly is buying tickets. Always big queue here. It take almost 30 min. If Anyone in urgent, can't able to catch train due to ticket.

::One of the Oldest Railway Station in India. A very busy place. Beautiful Architecture. It was built by British. The station stands with very pride. You can get train to any part of India. The Negative part is the ticket counter staff I stand in the queue hours and he said no tickets comeback when train arrives. And there is no steps to climb.

::Chennai Central Railway station with a history of 144 years is a blessing for about 400,000 passengers daily in the 269 trains coming or passing by the terminus. Apart from the architectural excellence, the station has several facilities like numerous railway lines to avoid congestion, neat comfort rooms, booking counters, utility stores, flyovers for pedestrians, sufficient vehicle parking etc make the station one of the best in South India. The prime location of the station makes it easily accessible to passengers and the station is well connected to various parts of the city. Tough the station is always crowded with commuters, I have always felt comfortable to travel from or to the the station.

::Very neat and perfectly maintained. Always a busy place , hence safe to stay anytime. Huge and covers a large area. Easy to locate , easily visible from a huge traffic. Architectural beauty is too nice. Flexible train schedules. There is a clock room inside. Also good food is available at reasonable prices within and near the station premises.
