This is a brilliant museum featuring stamps of different eras. Many historians in the past used to collect coins to document history in books.I think stamps do the same job when you explore it with a keen eye.You can see almost all the stamps from colonial rule to recent years. They have a dedicated collection to Children. It's really fun to visit child stamp section here. There are a wide range of stamps featuring various achievements of Modern India,Exotic animal species,Poets,Cinema legends,Pioneers in Fundamental Research,Lakes,Kings etc. There is also a Souvenir store where you can buy things like Card holders(with a stamp imprinted on it),Pens,Catalogues, mugs etc.Must visit!!

National Philatelic Museum is a real gem for museum lovers. It has a great collection from 1947 to 2014 year wise as well as tiny corner for International stamps. It takes at least 2 hrs to see. After 2014,nothing is displayed over there. That made me sad :( It is very well maintained museum. No entry fees and just few steps from Patel Chowk metro station. They have a shop inside if you wanna buy table top or stamp book for reasonable prize. They have some fridge magnets, but that does not look like a stamp.

Was an amazing experience going through the things at display. A must visit place for children. The only problem is that it is not located in a noticeable place so people walking around central delhi may not easily notice it. Definitely a learning experience for generations to come if the government doesn't pull down the shutters.
