  I would give complete 5 stars to the organisation as it has lessened the burdon of getting ISBN number to the new generation of authors. I had applied for ISBN number digitally on Saturday and I got a prompt response on Monday morning. I took two days to respond back to organisation due to personal reasons and responded to the query on Thursday. The very next day(Friday) I got the ISBN number for my book.!! So practically organisation took about 2 - 3 working days (earlier it was 6 to 8 weeks) to issue the ISBN number which is a huge transformation of their service through digital India concept. One thing is there is no point in calling the landline number as most of the time they don't respond the queries. I will give all the ISBN number appliers a suggestion. Plz go through their website FAQ's u will have 99 percent of ur doubts answered :) To conclude great job by ISBN team :)

  This service is the only government service providing the ISBN. They are totally non responsive. It is difficult to process an Application. It is since January that I am applying but they do not have the process through. Poorly informing the person, instead of giving all the information straight away. And badly maintained as once you apply you cannot make required changes.

  Worst Service its been five months with my application and they are not reverting back, its under process........ What an Digital India initiative...
