  Lot of development needs to be done. Lacks a lot of basic amenities. Public address system needs to be revamped immediately. Platforms are narrow causing huddling even when trains are not there. Display boards are also absent.

  Address: Santragachi Station Rd, Santragachi, Howrah, West Bengal 711109. Earlier superfast express and mail trains didn't have any stop at Santragachi station. Actually not even a single express train stopped at this station. In the recent days communication between Santragachi and Howrah-Kolkata has improved considerably. Taxi stands and bus stands have been set up to cater to the off board passengers travelling in various directions. There is a dedicated Volvo bus service to connect this area to Netaji Subhash Chandra International Airport, Kolkata. All these factors contributed to the rise of Santragachi as an important railway station. Furthermore, people tend to avoid excessive rush in Howrah station and often get down at Santragachi to board cabs and buses. Almost all Howrah/Shalimar bound expresstrains stop here except a few like Duronto Express. However these express/mail trains starting from Howrah/Shalimar do not stop at Santragachi station in their outward journeys. Please like and share.

  Poor platform conditions to move, NO display on train schedule, utterly untidy, does not fit for a station in a metropolitan...

  This place needs to be developed. Lacks basic amneties like restaurants, water and a good connectivity. The nearest bus stop is about 1.5 km from the station. The cab prices are way to high from here to the main city. The platforms are a mess and require cleaning.

  Nice place. Waiting for Howrah local but too much late. From here railway take too much to reach Howrah.
