  It's always very congested during prime hours. Traffic is very heavy during day and evening till 8pm. Firayalal is good shopping stop at this crossing... This place is also called as Firayalal Chowk for this reason

  This intersection is a very important one and is generally called the centre of Ranchi. It was previously named as Firayalal Chowk. Later it was renamed as Albert Ekka Chowk in the name of Param Vir Chakra Lance Naik Albert Ekka. There is a statue of Albert Ekka on this intersection. Here you can come to shop almost anything. There is a post office nearby. BSNL Office is also nearby. There are many schools and colleges in the locality. The Mahatma Gandhi Road (Main Road) starts from here.

  Albert Ekka Chowk This chowk was named after Shaheed Albert Ekka, but one of its names is also called "Firayalal Chowk" The statue of Shaheed Albert Ekka was erected in 1984 -1985. It is one of the city's most prominent Chowk. It is the center of the city's main attraction, as well as a landmark. Due to the overcrowding, it is losing its reputation everywhere.

  It is the prime location of Ranchi City, well known to all public. This structure is a roundabout where 4 roads meet. M.G.Road (popularly known as main road), Old H.B.Road, Jail Road and Kutchery Road. A statue of Paramveer Albert Ekka is placed at the centre. Offices, Shops, Street Vendors are available around the roundabout from 9AM to 9PM.
