It is most famous due to LTT is too near from here. It is small but good local railway station. Here is low crowd. It is between the Kurla and Chembur. It is one way is for panvel and another is for CSMT. It is clean station and their is no facilities of food. It is now under maintainance.

Tilak Nagar (Marathi: टिळक नगर) is a residential colony in Chembur in the suburban Mumbai. There is also a railway station on the Harbour Line of the Mumbai suburban railway by this name. Named after freedom fighter Bal Gangadhar Tilak is a suburban area in Mumbai, India. It was planned and built in the 1960s as a lower-middle-class colony, chiefly composed of chawls. The colony is now getting a facelift as the chawls are being pulled down to be replaced with residential high-rises and towers. There is also increased commercial development in the colony over the last decade. Tilak Nagar has lavish gardens and playgrounds. It is famous for its Ganpati festivals. Most of the population of Tilak Nagar is Maharashtrians and South Indians.

Lots of scope for improvement Early morning many outstation trains come to LTT , only economical & reliable option is train network. The single ticket window leads to long queues

Local train station to get down at if you are going to the Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT). Construction activity hides the way to the ticket counter. Since the passengers from/to will be carrying heavy luggage, it will be good to have a stairless slope to wheel your luggage up and down if you want to go to to VT side.
