::Feb 2018- Such a big library... heritage building - just 100m from kaiserbag circle... spread across 3 floors... a million+ volumes i guess. Took membership, but now disappointed as a book lover. The library is in total disarray... mainly due to whitewash work going on. It may take months to restore the books and the shelves lying in central hall. Plus the old volumes are so dusty... not cleaned from ages. Asthamtics may definitely avoid this place! Ample bike parking available. Many stairs to climb for access. But a quiet and silent place for self study.

::One of the oldest libraries in the town located in a beautiful building. It has vast collection of books. BUT poorly maintained, also reluctant staff. If properly managed it could have been an asset for the heritage city.
