  It was the biggest and best bus stand in the valley but unfortunately it was forced to shut down by the government

  This bus station has been shifted to Parimpora, some 4 kilometers from here. However, small taxis still ply from this bus station. The station houses some heavy vehicle repair and spare parts shops. The market around the Batamaloo bus station is old and you can find some of the cheapest rates for vegetables, fruits and other eatables from street vendors here.

  At Bus stand Batamaloo, one can travel to any part of Kashmir, given most of public transport of Kashmir functions from there. Cleanliness is an issue. Hope, Srinagar Municipal corporation will look into it and sort it out.
