::A beautiful railway station that is adjacent to Tamilnadu Legislative Assembly. The Chennai fort doubles up as the Assembly. This is also close to Reserve Bank of India, Chennai Port, Broadway, Sowcarpet, Island Grounds and High Court. Trains can be taken to Egmore, Tambaram, Royapuram, Arakkonam, Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu, Gumudipooondi from here. Chennai Central is only half a kilometre from here.

::Station is in proximity to the Broadway bus depot. Two ticket counters and one ticket vending machine. Four platforms. Trains go to Velachery, Tambaram. Intercom announcement is available. Wall fans have been installed with adequate seats.

::It is the station which is called "Fort" and it seems to be the nearest if you want to go the Fort Museum. As the whole complex nearby is a military complex, you either take a rickshaw or you walk for around 20 minutes. It would be good to have some touristic information. Station is well maintained and serves for local transport. Depending on the entrance it might be tough to find a ticket counter.
Ajith Mamolin
::Station located near broadway bus stand and has access take trains to velachery and tambaram.

::Good connectivity place for velacherry and tambaram trains after beach station. Near parry's(Broadway) bus stop (walkable distance) . Good frequency of trains tambaram, velacherry every 10 minute for peak time. 👎👎👎 No fan facility, no toilet facility, no drinking water facility
