  One of the oldest girls school of Kashmir. Was founded more than hundred years ago, most probably in 1908. Has been reputed for its good education. Though before militancy, most of the students were from Hindu community but now has large number of Muslim students. The school also housed Sangeet Mahavidalya of famous Shambhoo Nath Sopori which produced famous musicians of the state
