  I spent my childhood in the post office campus Amritsar as my father served as Post Master Amritsar. It had all the modern facilities like underneath sewage system 24 hour water supply and spiral staircases This was very well maintained campus . That was the time when about 200 postmen served all Amritsar on their bikes I mid 1950s. Never visited that place since 1961 but building still looks quite impressive

  General Main Head office Post Department from time of Britishers and have heritage value. All sorting is done here and is the District Head post office.
