  This is a state-of-art stadium located in the centre of Chennai city. It is on the western side of Chennai Central Railway station which is just 200 meters away. There is also an indoor stadium in the vicinity. No cricket match is played in the stadium. It is a government-owned stadium. So, some of mass cultural and government programmes are held here. There is also a coaching centre within the stadium for various discipline of sports and games. It is comparatively neat and tidy.

  It is an indoor stadium, pretty suitable for big conventions and functions like events. But there are poor bathroom facilities. Bathrooms sometimes don't have water. The place has ground to play outdoor games like cricket. And water facilities have to be improved.

  Finding the parking lot for car was a big deal. Seats were nasty and broken. No food or water allowed inside. There are no food options available inside. The worst part was drinking water bottle was available in very limited quantity that got sold out in few minutes of the break. Not sure if it was only that day. No loose water option also available. Bathrooms areas were not clean as well. No surprise.

  went to the indoor stadium for the pro kabbadi league finals. Seats were good. Restrooms were basic but kept clean. I was kind of surprised to see that there was no stench emanating from the urinals. Never seen that in a government maintained place,ever. The Air Condition was correct. On the whole it was good place to watch the game with decent views. But go sooner, even before the gates are open or you may miss the good seats

  Jawaharlal Nehru stadium boasts of being the home of Chennai's athletics and football. Nice and plush natural green cover on the turf, with facilities for holding both day and night matches. Multiple entry points, having excellent navigator capabilities. Lots of space for associated events and stalls. Is also the home ground of Chennai city football club of Indian super league! Sound system could definitely be improved!!
