  A small airport, so crowded, dozens of flights daily. Some bus stands of tier 2 cities are better than this airport. Though, it is clean and highly secure. Still services are below average. It is situated in the center of the city. In spite of that, lot of green area is around this airport. Zoo can be shifted to some other place. A new airport is proposed outside Patna which is a good initiative indeed....

  In simple words, it's a glorified shanty shed where planes happen to arrive at and depart from, on a dangerously short runway. It's a shame that nothing at all has been done in nearly 2 decades in the operational infrastructure. News of developments of new airport, etc circulate. But they've been circulating for as much time now, 2 decades. I'd love to edit and change my review when I see real change on the ground. Recent talks of terminal redevelopment fail to address the runway issue. The only reason I'm giving it two stars is because it's my hometown. Honestly, it doesn't deserve even a half.

  Patna Airport is behind zoo. it is in heat of Patna with best transportation facility as you can reserve auto taxi here any time. Runway is visible from train. Numbers of daily flights are increasing here with time gaps. Visible from traffic. Wheel chair entrance and parking available here. Security is at high. Customer service desk available here. One of the best office apart from Airport is this. Green surroundings is at best.

  I have been to this place over a dozen times when I was to catch plane for New Delhi. It is a small airport in comparison to big cities of India, naturally facilities available here not up to mark, runway is short. Anyway, this airport has capacity for 35__40 flights to handle (landing and takeoff). The state government is willing to make an another terminal in near future.
