::This Railway station is located in a remote area in the City, all around 2km from the Kazhakkootam-Kovalam bypass. Most of the Trains from here are long distance trains. And it's the end station for those trains. These is no consistent Bus service to the Station, but there are connection buses to the City for each train. This station was introduced to reduce the congestion in the Trivandrum Central Railway Station.

::Railway station still in developing stage. Not even have a good over bridge facilities to reach from first platform to last platform. Many trains have final halt at kochu veli but proper town is trivandrum central and there is no connecting trains, so people normally book tickets from kollam as it's easily reachable from trivandrum central via train itself. And if you have to catch a passenger running via kochu veli it's at old entrance platform and express train starts from new entrance platform. Crossing the platforms (no over bridge available) with luggage's is herculean task.

::The suburban train station of Thiruvananthapuram, growing into a full fledged one. Many long distance trains now start from here. It has all the amenities, a food center where good food is served. Well connected with the city, autorickshaws are available whenever a train arrives. Most of the time a low floor air-conditioned bus is also available for the travellers.

::New terminal promoted to de congest the Trivandrum central station. Will take more than half an hour to reach town. If you get out early and run, you will get AC low floor buses to city. Otherwise auto or taxi are the choices, no prepaid counter or regulation. Two small congested waiting rooms and a pathetic restaurant are the available facilities. Railways enjoy torturing their customers.

::Well placed station, not much congestion. Easily accessible with cars, but public transport is just 10mins away. Be prepared for being ripped off by auto drivers.Suggests using online taxi services to travel to and from station. Public buses are available at most of train arrivals which ply through city.
