  Truly one of the best bus station in kerala . Ideally planned and built .The capacity of this mega structure is not being utilised properly . More than 60 percent of built up area is lying vacant or unutilised . Now we have a new KSRTC head and i hope that this able and powerful MD ( Mr Tomin Thachankary) will take steps to correct everything and take this place and KSRTC to great heights.

  Central Bus Station (CBS), also called Thampanoor Bus Station, is a bus station in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. It is located opposite the Trivandrum Central Railway station at Thampanoor.It has an area of 7.41 acres serving the buses traveling on all routes in Kerala and other inter-state destinations such as Nagercoil, Kanyakumari, Chennai, Bangalore etc.It is also the headquarters of the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC).

  It was pathetic to note that contrary to the great expectations the passengers were completely lacking the unexploited potential of the Multiplex resulting in lot of inconveniences for basic amenities, and facilities since it was not fully utilised. Being the prime location and major transport authority for the common man it has a great role to play for ever increasing transport needs. Keeping priority for security and safety, strict controls are required for misusing by hawkers, pickpockets and miscreants for the welfare of the passengers especially for ladies travelling in the evening.

  One of the best KSRTC bus station in Kerala!! Building is very big with lots of options for shops and other establishments. Its the bus station with largest no of connectivity to different parts to Kerala, TN and Karnataka. The area is maintained well and beautiful. However there are no hotels in this area which is bit negative. The bus to the locations are arranged nicely according to the destinations which makes it easier for the passengers. There is ticket booking centre too!!
