    The concept of Lokpal got its recognition from the agitation of Anna Hazare. The Lokpal was in existence since 1996 in Punjab but as such the Powers were not given to Lokpal for taking action. it deals with the offices of elected bodies even that of Chief Minister. The complaint has to be made in proper format and the said complaint is heard first and if the substance is found then inquiry is started in that complaint. As such the LokPal has been given power to deal with allegations of corruption.
