  Malad is a railway station on the Western line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway network. It is Very Crowded station during morning. Station is clean and here will get many option of snaks and foods nearby

  Railway authority are trying hard to ease commutes and it is visible in this station. However, this station Lacks a lot of thing. Not all ATVM machines are functional, the new machines to print tickets via mobile app are not installed, ticketing counter has window timing but they are not adhered too, west side ticketing counter is cramped and usually crowded, drinking water station are missing or not functioning not to mention the unhygienic condition. But still Indian railways provide us the cheapest mode of travel. I feel authorities are trying, and I suggest they should also include CRM training for there staffs, so they learn how to be polite

  Malad is very popular for shopping like sharee and wedding clothes near by fish market is best in malad , street food was amazing 😍😍😘😘👌

  Malad is one of the busiest railway stations on the Mumbai Suburban Railway network. But compared to load it handles, it is very mismanaged and facilities are less too. In the morning rush hours, almost all trains arrive at the station completely filled and it is very difficult to board a train. Forget seating, one doesn’t even get standing space. Although the few trains originating from Malad give much needed relief. Platform 1 caters to Borivali bound trains and few Virar trains. Platform 2 caters to Churchgate trains. Platform 3 and 4 are very less used for few Borivali and Churchgate trains resp. Moreover, the roads on both east and west side of station are narrow, too many hawkers (although nowadays less) causing traffic snarls outside the station. It takes more than 15 minutes to the Marve road which is just few metres away. BEST Buses are available in plenty from West side going to Madh, Marve, Atharva College, Charkop, Gorai, Jankalyan Nagar, Malvani Bus Depot, Malad Bus Depot, Chincholi Bunder etc. But from the east side, autorikshaws are dominant (no meter system, only share autos with high rates). Buses are available to Kurar Village with very less frequency and they get stuck in traffic due to narrow roads in Kurar village.

  It's one of the best suburbs on the Western Line of Mumbai Local. A known place for shopping and also place of tourist importance. It's my birth place so have seen it grow since 1974. A good place to live as it has the essence of Mumbai to it's core - People from all walks of life, caste and Creed live together and for each other to make Malad a suburb with cosmopolitan values and life.
