  It was established in 1976. It houses a fine collection of sculptures, inscriptions and prehistoric relics. The museum is dedicated to the memory of the Queen Durgavati.

  It's a nice museum with the portrayal of the central India with respect to its history, geography, archaeology, sociology and culture. The place is moderately maintained and is favourable for youth and the aged to give it a thorough visit alike. There's a huge range of collections, starting with coins from early medieval age to late mughal and early British era, the tribal display of livelihood and household, the historical and architectural display of chausath yogini temple, the rock carved idols of jain tirthankaras and a lot more.
