  It is not open for people of other faith..Just outside the main gate, there's a permanent armed sentry post with a round the clock presence of a policeman with automatic weapon.. Rather unnerving..

  Thane city has a unique combination of religious diversity and this synagogue just seals this fact. I am proud that i stay in Thane where we have a parsi agiary, a synagogue, hindu temples, sikh gurdwaras, church, mosques all in one place.
