  Spicejet is going to start flight service under UDAAN... Hope it starts soon and people can have convenienve of quick travel

  Since 21 yrs there work in progress and gov has giving speech abt this airport in every election. But badluck of those people who really want to travle through flight from solapur to anywhere else. I heard that flights will get start on April 18. Let's see what will be going to happen.

  Only politicians use this airport for coming in solapur .no Flights for people who give vote to this poiticians. Nice Lokshahi :(

  Nothing to be expected, it is abandoned airport.........it doesn't provide public flight facility.......only private planes , helis and mini cargos......thats all ....................Dont think of development, those rumors are from last 10 years.......but proud that either it has an airport

  The airport was built by Indian Defence Authorities in September 1948 during the police action operation on the ex-Hyderabad State. The base, however, was not maintained after the operation.[1] It was re-built in 1987 and was run and maintained by the Public Works Department.[2] Kingfisher Red operated an ATR-72 service to Mumbai in February 2009 four times a week but was discontinued in August 2010.
