  Strand road is the important one way road by the side of river Hoogly(Ganga) ,starting from Riverside maidan area to Burrabazar, Kolkata-1.A number of major government offices such as E. Rly. H. Q., Customs office, Shipping corporation of India, New Secretariate office etc. are situated here.

  All Eastern Railways works are done here. Nice place with Typical Government Office atmosphere
