It is home to the JKCA and Jammu and Kashmir cricket team which represents the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir in the Ranji Trophy and other domestic tournaments in the country. National Cricket Academy is currently constructing an indoor complex at the stadium.

::This is home to the JKCA, the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Academy, and has seen some international matches being played in the past. However, nowadays, only local matches take place here. The pavillion is well developed, but the viewer stands are pathetic. The stadium needs a major overhaul to reach international standards.
