  SMHS Hospital Shri Maharaja Hari Singh Hospital or SMHS Hospital or Headwin Hospital is the multi-speciality hospital in the Karan Nagar area of Srinagar. In 1959, Government Medical College was also established on the same campus giving the medical students opportunity to examine the patients of the hospital during their undergraduate and post graduate courses to gain experience and practical knowledge. The students of the college under proper supervision visit the hospital for the treatment of patients.[1]During the September 2014 floods the hospital was damaged and people suffered enormously due to scarcity of medic facilities

  the hospital is well equipped and doctors also well qualified and experienced........................ the hospital has separate emergency block and separate super speciality block.............. and the parking is also availabe but cost much than it should.........

  Doctors here haven't got enough patience.They don't give complete attention unless it's an extreme case.

  A multi speciality hospital. Most efficient doctors are posted here. Treatment is cost effective here.Pharmacy, Pathology, radiology, ICU, OPD, IPD and Emergency department are available here. Almost all specialities available here for treatment. Very good service. Always crowded. Ambulance service available. Communication to all parts of the city available from here. Government Medical College is attached to this hospital. Lots of parking space available here.
